About Oakley Upholstery & Interiors

My earliest memory was watching my dad upholstering furniture – he's an upholsterer too, so perhaps it was inevitable I'd follow in his footsteps. I get such a buzz returning a piece of furniture to its former glory, and seeing the pleasure on people's faces when I deliver it back to them.

Having trained at Peter Guild, where quality & attention to detail were second to none, I worked there as an upholsterer for 23 years. Having my own upholstery company was always my dream, and I formed the business in 2006.

We're also lucky to have Leo, who does an amazing job on all our upholstery & curtain sewing. She also worked at Peter Guild for many years and works to the same quality ethos. She's truly gifted at making almost anything out of fabric – from table runners and bed throws to scatter cushions, and even collars & cuffs for the local church choir.
